Zee TV’s popular fiction drama, Qurbaan Hua, has been entertaining its audience with interesting twists and turns in the lives of Neel (Rajveer Singh) and Chahat (Pratibha Ranta) since the show’s very beginning. While some high voltage drama awaits the audience in the upcoming episodes, offscreen, the actors have been busy planning something special for their dads on the occasion of Father’s Day. While Pratibha has planned a special surprise for her father, Rajveer Singh is all set to express everything that he had kept in his heart for so long!
Like his onscreen character Neel, Rajveer also hasn’t expressed much to his dad. But with Father’s Day inching closer, Rajveer Singh is all set to put across his fondness towards his dad in front of him. Being an introvert, he has never had the chance to convey how grateful he is to have a father who has not only guided him but has given a purpose to his life.
Speaking about the same, Rajveer revealed, “No matter how much we try to learn from our fathers, we can never be as wise as them. At this age, I’ve finally understood that a father is the only friend that one can have, irrespective of how close you get to others. To be honest, he has been an inspiration to me, and I’ve always looked up to him since my childhood. Initially, he was in the Indian Army, after which he joined the Indian Police post retirement. So luckily, he has got the chance to serve his nation twice. Being in the army, he has always led a very disciplined life and from the past twenty-five years, I’ve been seeing him waking up at 4.30 am and diligently running 5 kms in order to stay fit. Somehow that discipline has been instilled in me as well, maybe because I’ve seen him following it regularly. For instance, if I’m asked to reach the Qurbaan Hua set at 9 am, I’ll be there exactly on time and that comes naturally to me.”
He further added, “We are close to each other, but somehow there has always been a sense of respect towards him, which kept us distant. But during this lockdown, things changed, especially when I got the news of him getting Corona. I remember I was shooting for Qurbaan Hua at another location, but as soon as I heard this news, I packed my bags and took a twenty-day break to take care of him. My whole team was very supportive during this time. In fact. the doctors were saying that 90% of his lungs were affected because of the virus, but my father didn’t surrender. His positivity towards life gave him the strength to fight the battle and he recovered. One good thing that happened during this whole period was that I got even more close to him. While taking care of him, we got a chance to speak our hearts out, which is a rare thing since both of us are introverts. We don’t really express our affection towards each other, but now it’s slightly different. I honestly never told him how much I love him, maybe because it would have gotten awkward. This is how I want to express what I feel for him. Reading this might help him fathom the kind of love I bear for him, how much I admire and respect him. I would also like to tell all my fans, please make sure you give as much love as possible to your fathers, not just on this day, but every day. I wish everyone a very Happy Father’s Day.”
While Rajveer Singh is elated to finally express his love for his father, Neel and Chahat are setting some real parenting goals on the show. But will they be able to end their differences? Or will Ghazala plan something to ruin all their efforts?
