They’re being trolled for posting wrong content related to the ongoing Tokyo Olympics
Milind Soman is the latest addition to the slowly-increasing list of celebrities who are landing themselves in the lap of trolls with their tweets about the Tokyo Olympics. Indian wrestler Priya Malik won gold at the World Cadet Wrestling Championships in Hungary to which Milind wrote on Twitter, assuming she won it at the ongoing Tokyo Olympics, “Thank you Priya! #gold #TokyoOlympics #wrestling…Welcome to Mt Olympus.” This comment was not spared by social media users who were angry about his lack of knowledge, despite being a sportsperson. Milind, however, chose to keep the tweet on his page and own up to his mistake.
Thank you Priya Malik! #gold #TokoyoOlympics #wrestling welcome to Mt Olympus 👏👏👏👏🙂

In the last two days, Alia Bhatt and Tisca Chopra also found themselves being trolled on Twitter for using wrong pictures with their posts. Tisca had taken to her Twitter account to congratulate weightlifting champion from India, Mirabai Chanu, for her silver medal. But the actress ended up tweeting a picture of an Indonesian weightlifter instead.

Alia Bhatt, on the other hand, shared an image of the Indian contingent from the 2012 London Summer Olympics while talking about the Indian contingent heading to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. The image was from the opening ceremony of the London Olympics where an Indian woman had gatecrashed and walked alongside the athletes from India. She was in a red jacket and blue denim. Social media users did not hesitate to point out that wrestler Sushil Kumar, seen in the picture posted by Alia, is currently in jail over murder charges.
