An article surfaced recently claiming that Shabana Azmi accused an alcohol delivery platform of cheating her. In a Twitter post, the 70-year-old actor claimed that she was conned by Living Liquidz after she placed an order on the platform, but didn’t receive it.
Moksh S Saini, Director, Living Liqudiz, an Alcohol Delivery Platform cleared the air by writing to actor Shabana Azmi, “Respected Ma’am, we deeply empathize with you but please note, that the person(s) you have interacted with and give the order to are not part of our organization. We have reported this to Mumbai Police and the Cybercrime wing even previously and are sure that they are doing their best to implicate the perpetrators.”
As a reaction to the above seasoned actor Shabana Azmi replied and confirmed that Living Liquidz had nothing to do with the actual fraud, she was quoted saying, “Finally traced the owners of Living Liquidz and it turns out that the people who cheated are fraudsters and have nothing to do with the brand Living Liquidz. I urge Mumbai Police and the Cyber Crime department to take action to stop these crooks from using names of legitimate businesses and scamming us”.
Moksh S Saini, Director, Living Liqudiz, an Alcohol Delivery Platform, further added, “We have also raised a concern with Google since it is allowing random people to use any name they want (including ours) without any verification. It is extremely unfortunate that there are several people out there who are using not just our name but also of other liquor stores and circulating fake numbers to dupe customers into transferring money in exchange for product and we sincerely hope that the authorities can bring these criminals to justice. We urge all our customers to order via our 100 % secure delivery app and only pay upon delivery. This is the model we follow at Living Liquidz, unlike other brands we do not demand for money before we make any delivery.”
