Hindi Version of ’52 Gaj Ka Daman’ sung by Asees Kaur and Renuka Panwar was released on 11th August on ii Music
It’s a rare thing in the industry where a regional song gets so much love from all across the globe, one such song is Haryanvi track ’52 gaj ka daman’ which has managed to cross over 1 billion views in just 10 months of its release. Interestingly, ’52 Gaj Ka Daman’ was recently released in Hindi version which is sung by Asees Kaur and its original singer Renuka Panwar, both of them are also a part of the Music Video. The song was released on 11th August on ii Music’s official YouTube channel.
“The original haryanvi version “52 Gaj Ka Daman’ has put the Indian regional music market on the Global map. It currently holds the record for the fastest indian song to cross to 1 billion views on YouTube across all genres and languages which in itself is a commendable milestone. Retained the number 1 spot on the Global YouTube charts for 12 consecutive weeks and there after retained the top 5 & 10 postion for 27 weeks, itself shows the amount of love the song has received from the audience and music lovers. Taking its popularity ahead we decided to release a hindi version of the track and who better to sing the same than Bollywood’s popular voice Asees Kaur. Our aim was to release the track with a modern twist to get it out to a wider audience, but also keeping its real essence intact and that’s the reason Renuka Panwar’s beautiful voice is also a part of it,” says Tarsame Mittal, Founder of ii Music.
Commenting on the same, Asees says “I am a huge fan of 52 Gaj Ka Daman, ever since it released I am listening to the song on the loop. It was really challenging for me to lend a voice for a hindi version of the song which is already popular amongst the masses. The haryanvi track has already crossed over 1 billion views and we hope this song meets with the same success as the original. I just hope that the audience enjoy this track as much as they did to its haryanvi version.”
Renuka Panwar who has sung the regional track, has also given her voice for hindi version of ’52 Gaj Ka Daman’, “It’s a great feeling when your song is remade because of its popularity. ’52 Gaj Ka Daman’ is one of the special track in my career and being getting an opportunity to sing for it new version is surreal.
