#Bachchanshealthupdate: Amitabh Bachchan Still In Hospital

“This news is incorrect, irresponsible, fake and an incorrigible LIE!” – Amitabh Bachchan

Amitabh Bachchan recently took to Twitter and blasted, “This news is incorrect, irresponsible, fake and an incorrigible LIE!” when a news channel ran a story about him testing negative for #Covid19. The Bachchans have been the focal point for millions of people, especially after Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Aaradhya and Amitabh Bachchan were diagnosed with #COVID 19 infection. As expected, the media broke into a tizzy of breaking news and exclusive stories after the family tested positive about 10 days ago. In the tearing hurry to be one-up, fact checking took a backseat in some areas. No wonder the Bachchan family is not amused with the speculative reporting about their health just to garner more hits and create sensationalism. Sources close to the Bachchans insist that the family is appalled by the reports speculating about AB Sr’s health condition.

Ashoke Pandit who reacted to the piece of false news, has been quoted as saying, “I reacted to the question I was asked. How was I to know that the news was false? One would hardly expect a channel so reputed to goof up. Anyway, it was about Bachchan Saab’s good health. What is wrong with that? Corona virus is the one thing where ‘negative’ is positive news.”

However the Bachchan family has its own take on the health reports. “They’ve been keeping quiet about their health for a reason. The hospital has strictly warned the family against giving out information about their health status. All I can tell you is that they are improving by the day. But to report that Bachchan Saab has tested negative for COVID19 infection was simply jumping the gun. Where did they get this information? These are hard times for the world and for the Bachchan family, too. Please show some sensitivity,” a friend of the family was quoted as telling a news portal.
